Your agreement with us
By using getcryptocoin — including this website, the testnet demonstration, the published software, the YouTube channel, and any other service we run — you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the services.
These terms are between you and Steven, sole trader, operating from England, United Kingdom (referred to here as "we", "us", or "the operator").
What we provide
- A software demonstration running on a private test network — a multi-coin mining pool, a block explorer, a fair-launch coin (GCC) and a self-custody wallet, shown so you can evaluate the software. Testnet coins have no monetary value.
- Software build engagements — we build, re-brand and hand over a white-label crypto stack to a buyer under a separate written contract that governs that work and takes precedence over these terms.
- Published software — released under the open-source licences that travel with the code.
- Blog, YouTube channel, documentation — published as information only. Not investment, legal or regulatory advice.
See the software & demo notice for the full position. It is the most important page on the site.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts in your jurisdiction. You must not be on any UK, EU, UN, US, or UK-aligned sanctions list. You must not use the services in a way that breaks the law in either your jurisdiction or ours.
Your obligations
- Use the demonstration and software for lawful evaluation and development only.
- When running any self-custody software, keep your own seed phrases and credentials private. We will never ask you for them and cannot recover them.
- Do not attempt to attack, overload, scrape at abusive rates, reverse-engineer for malicious purposes, or otherwise interfere with the services.
- If you take a stack to a live launch, you are responsible for your own licensing, compliance and tax — see the buyer-responsibilities section of the notice.
Fees and engagements
This website and the testnet demonstration are free to view. The demo handles no money and pays out nothing of value — testnet coins have no monetary value.
Self-serve items are sold at the fixed GBP price shown; digital content is delivered immediately after checkout, with your express consent to immediate delivery captured at checkout (you acknowledge the 14-day cancellation right ends when the download begins). “From” prices (bespoke work) are indicative starting prices for a software engagement whose scope, fee, payment terms and deliverables are fixed in a separate written contract before work begins. None of it is the price of any coin.
Availability
The website and demonstration are provided on an as-available basis with no guarantee of uptime. Maintenance, upstream failures, and the occasional reboot will happen, and the testnet may be reset at any time. We are not liable for any loss arising from the demonstration being unavailable or reset.
Intellectual property
The getcryptocoin name, logo, illustrations, and original written content are ours. You may quote short excerpts of blog posts (with attribution); do not republish full articles without permission. Software we publish is released under the open-source licences that travel with the code; bespoke deliverables are licensed to the buyer as set out in their engagement contract.
Limitation of liability
The website, the demonstration and any published software are provided as-is. To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for:
- Loss arising from the demonstration or website being unavailable, changed or reset.
- Loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, software we publish.
- Loss arising from how you configure, launch or operate any stack we build for you.
- Loss of funds caused by losing or sharing a seed phrase, or sending to the wrong address, in any self-custody software.
- Indirect or consequential loss of any kind.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for things English law does not permit us to limit (fraud, death or personal injury caused by our negligence, etc.).
Termination
Either side can end this agreement at any time. You can stop using the website, the demonstration or the software whenever you want. We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you are breaking these terms or the law. Termination of these terms does not affect any separate engagement contract, which is ended only in accordance with its own provisions.
Changes to these terms
We will update these terms when services change or the law changes. The current effective date is shown at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage and (where possible) by email to signed-in users at least 14 days before they take effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that we may bring proceedings in another country to protect our intellectual property where local enforcement requires it.
